I was admitted to Weaver Ward in February '09 with a very bad bout of depression. I was there for a total of 8 weeks.
Most of the staff were very understanding and would always listen to me, although one or two didn't seem to bothered, but you soon get to know who you are comfortable or not with.
The food is ok, but when you are there for a number of weeks it gets rather boring, but it is eatable.
The main Doctors are very good and treated me with respect and understood I was ill.
Towards the end of my time after 5 weeks of being there, I had a course of ECT treatment, I started to pick up after the first few and by the last one I felt my normal self again.
I made quite a few friends during my time and have been keeping in touch.
I am now fully recovered, I never thought I would be well again but with thanks to the care and treatment I got on the Weaver Ward I am truly grateful.
