This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public who asked not to have their name published. They said...

This 86 year old lady has a cardiac condition. All indications are she should be urgently reviewed for possible heart surgery. Her GP in Hyde is chasing up the results of tests with no success. Tameside Hospital have sent their results to Wythenshawe, and the Consultant has requested an opinion from surgeons there.

She and her family are aware the operation might be too risky but they need to know what is happening.
