"Nurses didn't ask if I was okay"

About: University Hospital Llandough / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I arrived at the hospital at 12pm and taken on the day ward a couple of hrs later, from about 3pm to 5pm I was in the cubicle on my on with none of the nurses asking if I was OK. About 5pm I was taken up to have the op, where the nurses then told me exactly what was going to happen and was put to sleep, I awoke sometime later and again the nurses didn't even ask if I was OK, I was let out around 730 where I was given pain killers and that if I had any problems then ring us

Hello

Thank you for posting your experience, I am really pleased to read that the nurses told you exactly what was going to happen during your proceedure, however I am concerned to read that no one asked before or after your operation if you were ok.

If you would like me to investigate further please email me directly on

sheila.harrison@wales.nhs.uk

regards

sheila
