"I feel I'm not being diagnosed properly"

About: Birmingham and the Black Country

(as the patient),

I need to state that when I was born, I had malrotation of the intestines, operated on at 10 days old and have had problems with diarrhea frequently, throughout childhood and now into adulthood.

I was diagnosed with cancer at 14 (took over a year for my GP to send me for a blood test-was told it was a ganglion, it was a slow growing tumour-stage 1, Hodgkin's Lymphoma) afterwards I started suffering depression and anxiety attacks- I had a break down at 16. I have been on medication ever since.

Fast forward to now, I'm 27, morbidly obese. I am still on antidepressants, suffering with more diarrhoea, horrendous cramping (like labour pains- I've had 2 children) not menstruated in over approx 2 years (when I did, they were infrequent and had bleeding from back passage. ) I have also had repeated infections (ear, throat, tonsils, lungs) since approx September 2013, still ongoing. Had numerous antibiotics! My blood results have came back with slightly increased WBC (approx 14/15) and CRP increasing, last check it was 17.

I phoned NHS direct regarding a course of antibiotics as they had caused palpitations and I found they interacted with Citalopram, I was sent to hospital for tests-a chest x-ray showed clear lungs (this was after a course of amoxicillin)

I visited my GP about 5 days later as I'm still struggling with breathing and coughing- she didn't listen to my lungs-just my chest very briefly, she berated me for requesting blood tests in the past (I haven't had any for a few months-nor did I ask) and that I can't keep going back.

I feel like she's noted me down as a hypochondriac, yet isn't trying to help me with my problems. I haven't been referred to anyone for the repeat infections, I had to ask to see the oncology department because of these problems- I just want them sorted! ! They arranged an ultrasound scan for my intestines, then when I had it was told they couldn't scan my intestines as it was just a dark mass to them. So other organs were scanned- revealing a fatty liver. I am still waiting to hear back from the hospital.

I am at my wit's end. I understand that anxiety and depression can cause a lot of various health problems and symptoms, but this is seriously affecting my life. I'm unable to work, I am struggling with infections, a lot of diarrhea and stomach cramping. I understand it's most likely nothing serious, but I'd like to get to the bottom of this. I've been suffering from it for far too long and I just feel more and more ill- lethargic and in pain all the time. I am ensuring that I am not dehydrated, I have been taking multi-vitamins and have tried a tonic called Metatone to try to help me feel better.

Also, at the age of 5, I had a blood test and had to have some injections to boost my immune system. I'm not sure what they were, but it looks like I've always had a poor immune system.

What can I do? I'm sick of having to almost beg the doctors, I feel like they look at my records/medication and think "It's in her head" without even checking me. If it wasn't for the ultrasound from the hospital, I'd never have known I had a fatty liver, but there's still a lot of intestinal cramps- it could be IBS, but this pain seems to be getting worse and worse.

Please can you help me and point me in the right direction, I want to be believed- that's the main problem- someone believing that the pain is very real and that without checking, no-one knows what it is- the pain isn't going away, it's just getting worse.
