I recently had to attend the outpatients departments, I had never been in this hospital before. My husband dropped me off at the main entrance, because I was on crutches having just had a knee operation.
There were no visible signs for any of the departments except A & E. I was early for my appointment 2:40 for a 3:20pm appointment. I went up to the help desk and they kindly gave me a card instructing me how to get to the Outpatients dept. These instructions took me all around the inside perimeter of the hospital and send me outside again, where my department was next door to A & E.
I arrived at the clinic at 3:10 pm having walked on crutches for 25 minutes. Either the signage at the hospital should be better, or the help desk should have said "go back out of the door, turn right and it is a few yards, next door to A & E".
"Walking right round the hospital to find my clinic"
