"Missed crucial appointment due to patient transport cancellation"

About: Cromer Hospital / Gynaecology East Of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Patient transport

(as the patient),

I was due to attend an important hospital outpatients appointment but the patient transport did not turn up.

We called an hour pre appt and they said they were coming in 15 minutes.

We called again half an hour before appt and they said they weren't coming.

Had to cancel appointment which I had been hanging out for as I am in pain. Needed to rebook appointment. Hospital said it wasn't them to rebook. They transferred me to someone else who said they couldn't rebook it because it was a choose and book appointment.

Spoke to GP secretary who said it wasn't for them to rebook. Spoke to choose and book who said it wasn't them it was the GP who needed to reraise it. Spoke to the GP secretary who said I would be at the bottom of the pile again. Left message for GP to reraise. No appt booked. Still in pain.

I am sorry that you have had cause to raise concerns about East of England Ambulance Service. I would like to investigate the concerns you have raised and would be grateful if could email eoeasnt.feedback@nhs.net with your name and address and the date that the patient transport should have collected you. We can then begin an investigation if you would like us to do so.

I am sorry for the distress and upset this has caused.
