"Cataract day surgery at St Albans City Hospital"

A very kind and efficient service. I only waited 13 weeks between referral (the optician can refer you direct to the consultant now, without, as previously, having to write to your GP and ask them to do it) and the operation. Pre-op screening was quick and easy, the day surgery unit was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. I went in at mid-day and was home by 3 pm after having lovely coffee and toast.

Thank you to Sister Eithne, staff nurse Christina Ong, Sister Clarke, Mr Ismail and all the day surgery unit staff.

Such a change from my previous cataract operation 8 years ago at another hospital, which was not a good experience.
