About: Bishop Auckland Hospital

If there were six stars available, the Ward 20 staff would get them. It could have been a bit of a stressful situation for me but it turned out to be more like calling in for an afternoon cup of coffee with a few friends. It lasted for two-and-a-half hours (colonoscopy) and the level of care was outstanding, all very professional but at the same time friendly and reassuring. It was all on time from start to finish, everything - before, during and after - was explained fully and every question answered. The consultant, his two assistants and the three staff nurses...I can't praise - or thank - them enough. Dave.
