We have had a recent diagnosis of a rare cancer for my little boy and I can't fault the oncology team. This has been the most horrific time of my life finding out my baby boy has cancer, but there have been so many members of the team that have helped and supported us.
The professor we are under is straight talking and incredibly keen to help, the nursing staff are utterly wonderful, the in-ward chef is fabulous, and although I wish with all of my being we were not going through this, I'm glad Alder Hay are there to take care of my boy.
I pray pray pray for a positive outcome in the long run, as everyone here is so positive. We have been an inpatient for a while now because of an infection, but even though this was an unforeseen problem with our treatment the team is supporting us and doing everything in their power to help us and try to get us home. Thank you Alder Hay oncology ward/department : -)
