About: Royal Alexandra Hospital (Paisley)

My Father was taken into the Royal Alexandra Hospital for an emergency procedure following a holiday in Scotland. We live in Leicestershire.

I found the Intensive Care team and the Team on Ward 26 most professional, caring and made our experience at this most traumatic time as pleasant as it could be. People often complain but not commend! !

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

I would like to thank you for your kind comments about the staff you encountered at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. A loved one being in hospital is a worrying time for family members, and even more so when you are away from home, and so I am really pleased to hear that this experience was made easier by the staff who were treating your father.

I will pass on your comments to Siobhan and the rest of the team in the ICU and Ward 26 - I know they will be really pleased that you have taken the time to share your positive experience.
