About: Manor Hospital

I visited Walsall Manor Hospital Antenatal clinic yesterday for my 20 week scan. I was told by the person carrying out the scan that my placenta was high and out of the way 'which is good'. I went to the foetal assessment unit at Walsall Manor Hospital today for a check up and was told by a doctor that my notes state my placenta is low and i have to avoid intercourse. Which is it? Why was i not told this at my scan? This is my first baby so i am unfamiliar with the whole process.

Hello, thankyou for taking the time to leave a comment. I'm sorry to hear about the confusion with regard to your scan. I would advise that you call your midwife when convenient, they are best placed to advise you. Call 01922 721172 and ask to speak to a Community Midwife.
