"Excellent treatment"

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

Attended the cardio-thoracic outpatients department today with my mum. Process was efficient and smooth. The consultant and nursing staff were very thorough and helpful. They put my mum at ease as she was very worried about having the operation. The only downside was that we had to wait 90 mins for a chest x-ray.

I am glad to learn that your mother had the experience of reassuring and efficient care in Cardiology. I am sorry that the long wait for x-ray results took something away from that experience. Your comments have been shared with the service management team responsible for Radiology. They have looked into the the matter agree that, unusually, the waiting times for x-rays were very long on this occasion due to staffing shortage. The site superintendent is investigating whether different ways of deploying the staff who were available could have prevented the long wait your mother experienced.
