"Waiting times are an absolute joke. In agony for..."

About: Leicester General Hospital

I was referred to see a urologist back in August 2014 after months of microscopic and visible blood in my urine along with recurrent infections of 2 years and an ultrasound that showed a shadow on my kidney and blocked ureter! Received an appointment for mid Sept then 2 days before the appointment I received a letter to say it had been cancelled and rebooked for end of November! During this time I had been admitted to hospital with acute renal colic and CT scan showed multiple white spots in my pelvic area. Finally had my first consultant appointment in October and was told I need further investigations such as a cystoscopy (reason for blood could not be found) and CT scan with contrast (results of which showed multiple white spots some of which measuring over 1cm). Had these at end of October and was then told and received a letter saying that I needed a follow up with consultant in 6 weeks. I have now been sent an appointment for mid January 2015 which is 12 weeks away! I am now left still in agony and after a total of 23 weeks since referral I may get a diagnosis or not!
