"Care of my mother"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Medicine (Wards 3, 4, 5 &46)

(as a parent/guardian),

I feel very sad, with the level of care my mother has experienced with her frequent admission's through Glasgow Royal infirmary, I feel with the level of care I witness and hospital infection she caught on wards, and with, lack of communication between professions is very sad, there is a huge element of nhs staff that have played part in my mothers care, I feel there clinical judgement has been wrong and has had serious consequences for myself and my mother.

I feel they have not been as honest, as maybe they should have been, which I find sad, because a lot of people put faith and trust in consultants in charge of there loved ones, and when they withhold diagnoses and other things, it makes me doubt other Doctors, but one doctor I do not doubt her sincerity is Doctor Frazer ward 38 she is honest caring and is very compassionate about her work and she makes a huge difference in her dedicated field.

Just maybe if my mother was under the care of this consultant, the outcome of my mothers future just maybe different, I wish other consultants who practice elderly care would have followed by her mannerism and professionalism. if this was the case and they did . The nhs would be a far better place for our elderly loved ones.

It is too late for lessons to be learned with my mother, but just maybe, lessons can be learned by others loved ones.

I pray to god this happens and serious lessons can be learned, this way I would not have watched my mother suffer in vein, here is hoping this happens, and here is hoping this gets printed on patient opinion. as these certain members of staff have to be aware of the stress and pressure they put us carers through by discharging, to soon.
