My last experience with my GP was a traumatic one for me. My GP was very impatient with me, and actually said because I had been five minutes late for my appointment, I was being treated on an emergency slot, so he was not ready for ‘my stories’ His demeanour and tone was disheartening, and conveyed the message that I was some sort of a hypochondriac. He uttered rather hurriedly and in a dismissive manner that he would refer me to a specialist and called in another staff member and ordered that I was given a different doctor next time. I was dismayed by all of this.

The TRAQs team member that called me was kind. My appointment at the Manor Hospital went well. I am to undergo an EEG test to ascertain whether there is any trace of epilepsy as per my history.

I am pleased to hear that your experience of speaking to a member of the TRAQS team was a positive one and that your appointment at Walsall Hospital was a success and you are to undergo tests to enable your consultant to provide a diagnosis for you.

Howover, I am disappointed to read of your experience at your GP appointment.. If you wish to make a complaint your GP surgery should have a written complaints procedure, and you will find this at reception or on the practice website. As a first step, speak to the practice manager. You can also complain to the practice in writing, or by email.
