"unwell husband"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

I attended ER with my husband who had been unwell abroad for a month, he had undergone various tests, but I was unhappy with the treatment and we flew home and attended Wishaw the next morning.

On arrival I was treated with nothing but kindness from the nursing staff, and reception staff. I was apprehensive bringing my husband after our ordeal in a hospital aborad, but my fears were allayed immediately on entering ER.

Dear hshuel,

I’m sorry to hear of your husband’s illness.

We know that patients and relatives are often anxious and worried when they attend the ER. It is vital that we provide a warm and reassuring welcome and I’m delighted to hear this was the case when you attended Wishaw.

All the staff in the ER work hard to provide person-centred-care for our patients and this includes supporting relatives. It will be my pleasure to share your feedback with the ER staff, thank you for taking the time to get in touch.

I wish you and your husband well for the future.

Regards,

Gillian
