"Fantastic service"

I attended the Emergency Department with my partner who had suffered a fall and a head injury. She was seen quickly, and had fantastic treatment from kind, efficient, polite and very caring staff. She was seen in the Emergency Department then spent some time on ward D recuperating, and the service from the Doctors, Nurses and other members of staff was top rate. I was in the room when a cleaner came in to sweep and then wipe the floor, and he did it with such attentiveness. A student doctor came back to see my partner at the end of his long night shift just to see how she was and say good luck. She was given great clinical care, with some very neat sutures to a wound, a fast CT to make sure she hadn't had an internal bleed, and offered painkillers and anti-sickness tablets. The hospital building was marvellous - patients had individual rooms in the Emergency Department, which I haven't seen before, and all the equipment was new. I hope you're getting the impression that the service was second-to-none and we thank the many staff we met for their kindness and professionalism.
