"Two spell in hospital"

About: Sandwell General Hospital

I am very late in giving this review although I have written in a more timely manner to both department head. In the last two years I have had two major operations for the removal of a infected gall bladder and I have in May 2014 had a replacement knee. I cannot fault any of the team for the treatment and care I received although I would ask that the admin staff keep you informed as I was left on a landing for 5 hours waiting for a bed. But apart from that hiccup I was treated very well and everything was explained about the procedure and more importantly after effects of surgery. The physiotherapy department deserves special mention as they won't be intimidated when causing you discomfort as they know it's good for you !! Thanks again. I hope this review helps with the negativity some people display against the NHS .

I am pleased to hear that in general you had a positive experience at our hospital. It is great to be recognised by our patients for the good work that our staff are doing on a daily basis. Thank you and I wish you well. Toby Lewis, Chief Executive
