"Trying to get my daughters foot dressed on a Saturday."

About: Alexandra Hospital / General surgery Princess Of Wales Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

Had been told by the Acute Hospital who performed the operation (removed toenail under general) to take her to Minor Injuries to get the dressing changed. The staff seemed to take great delight in telling me that the District Nurses work from 12 until 1 pm. This is not stated on the hospital website. They then explained about how the internal market means that they don't get paid for doing dressings (why is this my issue)?

They asked what sort of dressing is it anyway? Like I would know. They kept calling me Madam in a patronising way. I said don't call me that and they said what shall I call you then - luv?

All I wanted was my daughter's toe treated and to me it seemed all they wanted was to moan about who pays for it and to make me feel bad for asking what i thought was a straightforward question.
