A really excellent hospital experience from all points of view. Time elapsed from GP referral to OP seems long at first sight, but this was the consequence of me delaying the OP due to my holiday arrangements. Once in Hexham Hospital handling was excellent, explanations pre-op were very complete and reassuring; staff were friendly and welcoming and ready to help on every request. This exemplary behaviour continued into OP and post OP phases. Pain management was amazing....I didn't get any pain whatsoever and was very ready to leave after 3 nights!! One hears so much moaning about NHS services but on the basis of my experience I cannot understand why! PS my experience of Hexham Hospital stands up very well to my experiences of hospitals in both Belgium and Germany.

I am so pleased that every aspect of your care was exemplary and that you were also fast tracked home free of pain. Excellent stuff and just the way we want it to be for our patients.
