"trapeziectomy ward 19 28th October 2014"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I am now recovering from a very successful operation. I cannot praise or thank enough all of the team that looked after me. From the first call from the booking office to the nurses in pre op right through to the nurses, theatre staff, my surgeon, in whom I had complete faith to a wonderful caring doctor in charge of the anesthetics. I received very kind professional treatment and wouldn't hesitate to advise anyone needing surgery to seriously consider LGH. The only downside is the dreadful car journey to get there!

Dear Joan, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We have shared this with the matron and sister for ward 19, who will in turn share it with everyone who cared for you whilst you were with us. It's lovely to receive positive feedback as this really boosts staff morale and reminds them why they entered the care industry in the first place! Although we can't help the car journey, we hope there was ample parking on site for you when you arrived. If you would like advice on better planning your journey next time, you can look into travel options on www.travelineeastmidlands.co.uk or call the team on 0871 200 2233. Wishing you all the best with your recovery, Kind regards Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
