About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

My partner was admitted to a and e in severe pain. After hours of left waiting for a scan (they didnt know what the problem was) without being told anything my partner was moved to ward 25. The lady that took him down was very rude. The morphine had worn of at this point at when I asked if he could get some pain relief she replied that he would recieve some when he got to the ward. After being left waiting for a while and hearing this staff member giggling and discussing her private life with a nurse on ward 25 desk i went to ask about pain releif i was met with "dont you remember i told you he would get some on the ward im just doing handover" in a very blunt tone of voice no concern about the fact he was in agony. Staff appear to be on a power trip , why go into nursing if you have no empathy/compassion?
