"A&E department"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

I recently had to take a trip to this A&E, due to getting a lip ring stuck in my lip. Upon entering, the waiting area was very busy, however, I did get booked in quickly, by a lovely, friendly receptionist, she explained why I might have to wait for a while and reassured me that they would see me as soon as possible. I was then called into the Triage room and a nurse asked about my lip and had a quick look at it. She then asked me to return to the waiting room. I eventually got seen to after 3 hours of waiting, which, considering how busy it was, I was quite surprised that I didn't have to wait any longer. The nurse that removed the piercing was friendly, kind and really knew what she was doing. She could sense that I was nervous and in pain, so she was really kind and explained every thing she did. I was really impressed with just how nice and efficient the staff were, as other hospitals I have visited, have never been so friendly.
