"Heart Attack patient.... stent fitted in quick..."

About: New Cross Hospital

Hi there... I just thought I should drop a line to say a big thankyou to the amazing staff in the heart and lung centre. I was the unlucky recipient of a heart attack (never been ill up until this point)... fortunately, my 6 year old (yes, you heard right....6) knew the drill and within minutes the paramedics where at my side. The following hour went quick....the result of which was angioplasty (stent) performed on my heart. Though only just aware of what was happening, I was lucky to see most of what was happening on the monitor to my left hand side. The result? A week later everyone is telling me a look 100% better! Obviously, I must have looked pretty rough before the attack (lol). Anyway.....the result is now I'm taking it easy forward while - and I have a new perspective on life. I've been very lucky (minimum damage to my heart)...but....all praise to the consultants, doctors, nurses, auxiliary staff, etc......for without them being as efficient as they are/where, and without their aftercare and kindness (I was out within 3 days), suffice to say I may not be typing this now. I know it's a clea shea..... but really are life savers. And this is one person who really appreciates what you have done for me....
