"Truly diabolical maternity service"

About: Royal Free Hospital

My wife and I had a horrible experience at the maternity ward of the Royal Free Hospital. My wife was neglected on numerous occasions both before and after the birth of my son. Truly shocking that a breech was undetected until the very last minute, and made worse by the fact that we were on the verge of being sent home whilst my wife was in labour! The surgical team conducting my wife's emergency and unexpected c-section were fine (fortunately) however the aftercare following her c-section was very poor. Nurses were ill-mannered, inconsiderate and unhelpful. Overall, we were very disappointed with the the maternity service and will not be having any more children here again.
