"Confusion over which hospital to administer injection"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Urology

(as a relative),

My mother was admitted to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in February this year due to a chest and water infection. I would like to say on her behalf that the nursing staff were excellent and provided great care. However, my mother doesn’t seem to be completely well and also has to go back to the outpatients department. Her disability makes this task very difficult for her. They seem to sort one problem out but not the rest of her medical problems. She also needed to have an injection and it was suggested that this was done at Northern General. They said that it should have been done at the Hallamshire. So they argued between them and the appointment then got cancelled. She is still waiting for an appointment to be made which is just not acceptable. They also told my mother that she could go home on a Monday but made her wait till 8.00pm on the Monday night which meant it was cold and she had to go home late and sort her house out. The excuse given was that there was a waiting list for the drugs from the pharmacy. Could this not have been done in the morning?
