"distressing upsetting experience"

About: Royal Free Hospital

It never worked out for me. I was in extreme pain for hours only to be told there was nothing else they could give me. So, I ended up taking my own painkillers that I taken along and had shown them. The same pain killers that were not touching my pain. I was there to get relief! At one point I was crying my eyes out in the Bay Area where all of the staff are buzzing around at the stations etc. not one nurse or doctor asked me if I was ok. I had also warned them told them I suffered from anxiety and severe depression. I left with nothing feeling like I had been treated in such a bad way. A horrible unforgettable moment in my life.

Very sorry that you were not happy with the care you received. I will pass this on to the A&E team. If you would like to take this further please contact our patient advice and liaison service at bcfpals@nhs.net.
