"Hip Replacement"

I am nearly 3 weeks post op hip replacement and cannot enthuse enough about the treatment and care received from the unit at Barrow, from the Consultants to the Cleaners and all other staff in between, all were wonderful. The care, consideration and attention given to patients is excellent. I was extremely apprehensive about my operation but was completely put at ease and taken through everything with comprehensive explanations from all concerned, visited prior to and after the op by the Consultant, and anaethatist, who went through everything in detail with me. I had opted for epidural and asked for a 'little something so I wouldn't hear anything' Excellent ! I was back on the ward with tea and toast in no time, totally compus mentus. Many thanks to you all for making this, something I was dreading into a pleasurable experience for me, I recommend you to everyone and have been singing your praises ever since and will continue to do so. Furness General recieves so much negative press but has served my family throughout the years extremely well Maternity, SCBU, Childrens Ward, Mens Surgical and now Orthopaedics, Many, many, thanks to you all.
