"My husband treated in the HDUnit"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

My husband was in this unit following an emergency tracheotomy operation. His care by the nurses was first class. They kept him perfectly clean and comfortable throughout his stay. I cannot thank the staff enough for their genuine compassion during this time. My only concern was that the consultants just appear to be interested only in the area they are dealing with and not the whole picture of the patients health. This can convey mixed emotions and false hope. On the other hand the nurses see the whole picture. regardless of this comment I thank everyone and cannot praise the NHS enough.
