Was happy with the care I recived when I attended Kings Mill Hospital a few months ago. The best care I received was from a doctor called Alpie (unsure of spelling) in A&E. He was so kind and caring and helpful, he was always smiling and asking individual patients if they were OK. Despite the unit being really busy. I could not ask for better care!
The wards were OK but the staff did not communicate with me or each other very well and I was upset to hear a nurse discussing how my surgery went very loudly with another nurse before I even knew myself. This was on ward 14. The theatre staff were again brilliant, kind and reassuring, the wards I was on both 21 and 14 were clean and comfortable environments. Even the food was nice. Just wish some staff were more considerate. Also a nurse on ward 21 was chewing gum whilst talking which wasn't nice and I don't think should be allowed. The rest were brill even under busy circumstances.
