"Fantastic Birthing Centre Experience"

About: Chippenham Community Hospital

Throughout my pregnancy, during routine and non-routine visits, the midwives at Chippenham Birthing Centre were just superb. I was always made to feel comfortable and that nothing was too much trouble, made to feel that full checks were always performed and left reassured. During the water birth at Chippenham, it was relaxed (or as relaxed as labour can be). I was regularly monitored but didn't feel that there was a lot of interference. I was encouraged by the midwife and everything was explained to my husband which in turn made him calmer. The midwives helped him put the car seat in when I was transferred to Swindon GWH. I am pregnant again and (all being well) I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else to give birth.
