In 12 days the staff here managed more than 10 years under nhs mental health care, understanding supportive friendly and genuinely caring staff combined with the relaxed atmosphere and dignified manner of caring helped me overcome my lowest point. Safety and dignity are the best qualities shown here with staff sharing meals with patients, always around to help whenever needed and always going above and beyond to the point i had nurses helping me print information for my law degree. The staff here genuinely care about you as a person and treat people with respect and empathy. The relaxed atmosphere feels more like being in a hotel than a mental health unit, the staff are incredibly positive warm friendly people. I went in feeling vulnerable and left feeling stronger and capable, thanks to the incredible care i received. Overall this 'hospital' really does change lives and was exactly the environment i needed to regain my full mental health, i cannot recommend or thank them enough.
