"very poor patient communication in A&E"

I went to Dorset County Hospital a few months back after damaging my eye in a gardening accident. I had had a similar accident before so I had some idea of what to expect. The arrival admin was good and prompt - more so considering it was a Sunday - but once I was called by the registrar on call things went down hill. The doctor never introduced himself, told my friend who was with me they could not come in to the examination room, made hardly looked at me while asking me what the problem was, turned his back while I was talking, and did not answer any of my concerns or queries, even at one stage telling me my concern was 'completely irrelevant'. I wish I had complained at the time really - coming across this website brought the incident back.
