1) I need bereavement counselling not just for loss of both of my parents but the loss of contact of my husband’s family due to me not being accepted by them.
2) We can’t change other people but we can change ourselves and our reactions
3) Just because I don’t like certain things doesn’t mean they affect other people the way they affect me ie bullying abuse to daughter by her husband affects me differently to how it affects her. Non acceptance of me by my in-laws affects me differently to how it affects my husband. My parents attitude to me affects me in a different way to my brother.
4) Unresolved issues with parents needs a lot of bereavement counselling
