"Very mixed experience"

Admitted with suspected hernia via A&E. The nurses on Hindhead ward were totally incompetent, uncaring and unformed. I then had surgery and was sent to Compton where the nurses and care were excellent. The key difference was Hindhead had agency nurses who simply showed know care to me or even worse to some other more needy gentlemen on our ward. Compton's staff were permanent and clearly cared and showed how to communicate and show empathy.
