My son was taken to the children's assessment ward urgently via Ambulance. The staff were ready and awaiting our arrival, they acted swiftly and put myself and partner at ease immediately. The staff were experienced, confident, compassionate and caring from the start. They cared as well for me and my partner as much as they did my son, we never once felt like and inconvience or that we were asking too much of the staff, they went out of their way to cater for our needs and comfort. My son was transferred to the children's ward where we stayed for two nights. The staff here were also fabulous. They were always on hand and were able to answer all my questions and offer constant reassurance regarding my sons treatment. When it came to his discharge they were fully prepared with all the information we would need when we went home. In addition they made absolutely sure that we as his parents felt ready to have him home and were confident with his medications. It never once felt like we were being rushed out the door to free up a bed. Medway Hospital often gets a bad press and people rarely have something positive to say about the hospital or it's staff, however I could not fault the staff or their service. I would recommend them without hesitation. I really can not thank them enough for their support, superb care and fantastic treatment of my son.
