(as the patient),

I was dreading my appointment at Queen Margaret this morning. Having all my bits on view, as a 66yr old lady, with not everything pert and peachy. When I was taken in for the "procedure", I must say the staff from the word go were lovely, as my partner left me, shudder!

I was taken to be pre prepped and gown on, all was well. As I came out of my doziness, I was given a lovely sandwich and hot cup of tea. That was so comforting, after going through the last 24 hrs with just water and no food.

I am here today to give my thanks to all staff involved in my visit.

I'm now in the comfort of my home with heat and food, "just what the doctor ordered". thanks again.

Sorry for the delay in saying thanks to you for taking the time (from the comfort of your own home) to express your thanks to staff. We are having a "technical problem" at this end so it has been a bit frustrating not being able to acknowledge your thanks sooner!

Colonoscopy is not the most dignified procedure and I appreciate it is embarrassing; however I know that staff do try very hard to make it as relaxed as possible, so it was great to hear that your experience was a positive one.

I will be delighted to pass your thanks on to the team and to the Management team, so they too are reminded of the good work by staff.
