"Eternally grateful"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

On 1st October I arrived at the QE hospital to be induced, we were greeted by a 3rd year student midwife. I am always a bit sceptical about students for obvious reasons however the standard of care we received was phenomenal. The student midwife made sure both my partner and I were at ease as it was our first child and we were pretty clueless about what was going on. Unfortunately the student had to go off shift half way through my labour but came onto the ward the next morning to make sure myself and baby were doing well. We just want to say a huge thank you to the student, we wish you all the luck in the world as a qualified midwife.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely comment about our maternity unit, we'll be sure to pass this along to the staff involved who are always keen to hear patient feedback.
