"Disabled Parking"

About: Barnet Hospital

Anyone with a blue disabled parking badge should be aware that Barnet Hospital has, from 1 October, changed the policy and you must register your blue badge with the hospital reception otherwise you will be fined. My parents visited Barnet Hospital in October and received a £100 parking fine (£60 if you pay straight away). When they queried this, they were told the information was on the parking meters. Since you do not need to obtain a ticket if you hold a disabled parking badge, why would you go and read the meter? This change of policy should be made much clearer.

Sorry to hear your parents had trouble with our parking system. Please can you email your parent's details to us (including registration details) and we would look into whether the fine can be cancelled - rf.communications@nhs.net. Thank you.
