I would like to thank the consultant for my hip replacement, and the anesthetist for looking after me and making the surgery possible. I would like to thank pre opp assesment unit also the the pre opp unit and recovery ward, the lovely staff on Pembrook Ward who looked after me so well. I was moved at midnight which was not ideal, but someone needed my bed more than I did. I was moved to Sunderland Day Care, staff lovely offered me drinks and toast and i was made very comfortable. I also thank the team that came to visit me at home, everyone was great and I felt cared for and looked after. Food ok,but Im a diabetic on diet control which was a bit difficult,no diabetic desserts,or plain yogurt,I was offered banana which is full of sugar,It wasnt much of a problem for three days but for longer term I would have had to have food brought from home. Thank you all you lovely people.
