"Good GP support"

About: Kensington and Chelsea PCT

(as the patient),

Dr Chohan, a GP in the Practice with which I am registered, took the trouble to telephone me personally with information when I was worried about an upcoming scan. He had previously telephoned a consultant for advice when symptoms of my fall from a horse were not entirely straightforward. It meant, whilst I waited for my appointment for a scan, that I had full information and a probable explanation; I knew what to do in the event of my symptoms changing. As patients' needs for information are so often underestimated, I was impressed with the trouble and care that Dr Chohan took. I thought he worked in a true partnership with me on the problem and, unlike some occasions with medical interventions in the past, I did not feel remotely patronised or left out of the equation. I was impressed and grateful.
