"my time at Northampton maternity ward"

I was extremely happy with the care and support i received when having my daughter. My baby was born on September 10th 2008. When i got to the hospital that afternoon i was in a lot of pain and wasn't coping well at all with the pain. The midwives were absolutely brilliant, they helped me stay calm and gave me an epidural which i really wanted and needed. They told me what was going on every step of the way as i was extremely scared about giving birth. In the end a doctor delivered my baby with the help of a midwife called Caroline. All the midwives were brilliant but Caroline stood out as being the best, she was very caring. After the birth i had chest pains and felt i couldn't breathe and she did everything to reassure me i would be ok. She looked after my baby that night so i could get the rest i needed and i felt like i trusted her completely. I would like to thank all the midwives that helped me that day and especially Caroline.

I would also like to thank all the staff that looked after my sister in 2007. Her son was boon on 15th Feb by c-section, she had a severe case of pre-eclamsia and she was looked after so well and every effort was made to ensure her and her son were both safe. I would recommend anyone to have their baby at Northampton. Thank you so much
