I was having some really bad stomach pains and it got bad at a certain point. I called the ambulance and it took them 3 hours to get to my house. When I got to St. George’s hospital, they kept me waiting in A&E for a few more hours. When they sat me in the cubicle, they made me wait for even more hours; they did absolutely nothing and then sent me home.
Then I had the same problem the next day. I called the ambulance and this time I was in tears. But they told me it would take them a few hours, so I had no choice but to cancel the call and had my daughter take me to Kingston hospital. There they made me sit and wait for 2 and a half hours in the A&E and took me in my cubicle. They took my x-ray, gave me some injections and whatever they could. They gave me some painkillers and sent me home. They painkillers did give me a bit of relief, but only lasted for the next few hours. I woke up in the morning with the exact same pain as yesterday and just gave up on getting help.
I think that the hospital could have been way more helpful and keep me in over night to see how it went.
