"This Hospital deserves an award for its dedication"

I have recently undergone a Shoulder replacement procedure at this Hospital, prior to which I was an outpatient for some 18mnths, having been referred by my GP, following several attempts to have my Very Painful Shoulder resolved locally.

I first met my Surgeon Mr. S. Hay, at my first appointment, on a Saturday morning, in Shrewsbury Hospital, where he held extra clinics. Following his own investigations into my Problem, I was put on his Surgical list, for Shoulder Replacement to relieve my Pain. Unfortunately, on my first listing for surgery he discovered I had suffered a major infection to the operation area, following my very first operation to the shoulder back in 1994. Rather than risk surgery being infected again, Mr. Hay postponed the procedure and carried out an Arthroscopy instead, in order to find out if there was any infection still lurking inside the shoulder. Thankfully the Biopsies taken were all clear and I eventually had my Operation in early March this year.

To Date I am totally pain free, which is a bigger result than I expected. And I can not Thank Mr. Hay and his Surgical Team enough for the outstanding Care and Compassion shown to me during all my contact with them.

And to Kenyon Ward, my special thanks for all the care you gave me on the ward during my 3 spells in hospital. You made my stay a pleasure at all times. Also a Big Thank you to Rebecca who looks after Mr. Hay's waiting lists etc.

This Hospital deserves an award for its dedication to Care, Cleanliness and the comfort and wellbeing of its Patients. I could not fault them in any way. I could not believe how Polite and Friendly everyone I came into contact with were to my self and everyone else.
