Whilst my condition isn't life threatening or as major as some others may be experiencing, I am made to feel as if I am wasting the consultants time. I have attended my appointments each time promptly and on time, yet out of the ten or so times I have attended, only once I have been seen on time. Why have a 3.30pm appointment made if I'm not going to be seen until 5.15? Is this because my condition is 'minor'? This is not just a one off, I usually am made to wait at least 45 minutes. Why is it acceptable for the consultant to be running so far behind? In any other business, it would be just plain bad practice. The department just seems to be disorganised. Losing my records, refusing to give my records to other hospital departments, telling me I've missed appointments that they've made for me but not told me about. If I could afford to go private, I would, but the trouble is that the same consultants work there too, but maybe I wouldn't be seen as a second class citizen by them there?
