I was a patient on Lister ward at the Nottingham CIty hospital for a knee replacement operation. I have widespread osteo-arthritis and have been prescribed 400mg ibuprofen to be taken three times daily as required, but for some reason this had been recorded incorrectly as 200mg. I discovered this on Friday 20th and the sister refused to issue the correct amount until it had been written up by a doctor, which did not happen until the Monday. The consequence was insufficient pain suppression for 3 days immediately after surgery. I had no apology!
"Not enough pain relief after surgery for osteo-arthritis sufferer"
