Sliced a small portion off the top off my finger. I'd dressed the wound myself with steri strips and Elastoplast. My GP practice recommended A&E. Phoned the Unit and spoke immediately to a Nurse Practitioner who gave me excellent advice, allowing me to treat the wound myself, saving me hassle and saving the NHS money.
