"The staff were welcoming and encouraging"

About: Mansfield Woodhouse Children's Centre

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I attended the Stay and Play session at Mansfield Woodhouse and me and my daughter had a really good time.

The staff members were very welcoming and also encouraged me to allow my daughter to participate in snack time. Through this, I found out she actually enjoys holding fruit which I hadn't realised before. So this was very beneficial to me and allowed me to try something I hadn't previously thought about doing.

I really feel strongly about the benefits of Children's Centres and even after one session my daughter had come out of her rather timid shell.

Thank you again.

Thank you for sharing your experience and good to know the encouragement from the staff meant your daughter tried something new. Children can surprise us sometimes as to what they will do or try that we hadn’t thought of. It’s great she has been able to come out of her shell as well.

I am glad you can see the benefits of the Childrens Centres - it is a message we want to get out to everyone with young children.

I hope we see you again soon at your local Children's Centre

Best wishes

Karon
