"Upset about care on Barnsley Surgical Admissions Unit"

Consultant and theatre staff were ok. When on the Surgical Admissions Unit, I thought that the nursing care I received was disgusting. I had to beg for a jug of water to be refilled, after having asked on numerous occasions. I was left all day without anything to eat - when I asked about this the next day, the nurse was surprised that I had had nothing. She was the one who was supposed to re-do my dressings, but this did not occur. Thank God for evening staff, who looked after us better.

At one point, I was sick into a bowl and this was never cleaned away, despite me asking for it to be removed. I never saw the nursing staff again until I was discharged. A complete nightmare!
