"Waiting to see consultant cardiology Aberdeen"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit NHS Grampian

(as the patient),

Taken ill in January 2014, was in Acute admissions ward ARI for a few hours. Staff and care great, thank you. Series of tests done through my GP practice (who have been fantastic) and referred to cardiology in February.

I saw consultant at General Medicine in the Spring. Had some tests in Cardiology in late Spring. Since then been waiting to see someone in Cardiology. Still waiting and finding it very demoralising.

No communication at all with me about this from the hospital, even though GP has chased them up. I don't care about 12 week targets/18 week waits, I wouldn't care if they said I had to wait 6 months, or if I had to travel somewhere else, (I would pay the travel) just to know I was in the system somewhere. Trying to stay positive but actually extremely fed up being ill with no solution or advice in sight.

I am a big fan of the NHS and feel guilty for feeling so negative about my recent experiences. Staff are great but it seems 'system' can let the patient down.
